My Neighbors

All of the following pics are my own, taken in my ‘backyard.’ I live on a golf course and there are a series of 5 ponds behind us.

hangin out

We always seem to have a gator in the pond. 98% of the  time it IS only one; on rare occasion we have two. They lounge on the banks of the pond in various spots until either golfers chase them off or Sandhill Cranes chase em off.

Lookin for a MealThis particular guy really makes the rounds. He is all over the pond all day! Can't seem to find that 'perfect spot' I guess. Plus I'd say this guy's hungry too. He spends a lot of time trying to sneak up on the birds; which is ridiculous as they ALL see him long before they get to him. lol I wonder if anyone can see me?Sometimes our 'gator' only stays one day, sometimes it stays for weeks. Not sure what dictates how long their stay is; whether it be for food or a mate. just gettin my tan on!

I eat, and there’s still more food!

This is a Florida Anhinga, relative of the Cormorant, and in front is a Florida Alligator. Directly to the left of these animals is the ladies 16th tee on the Royal Oak Golf Course and Resort.
